Resident Killed, Firefighters Hurt As Blaze Burns Down PA Home, Reports Say

A person has died and four fighters have been injured in a house fire in central Pennsylvania, according to multiple media outlets.

Emergency crews were called to the fire in the first block of Logan Street in Lewistown around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 19, Fox43 reports citing emergency dispatch.

Four firefighters were burned— two of which were taken to an area hospital— all are expected to recover, Lewistown Borough Fire Chief Bob Barlett told abc27.

Four adults and two children were assisted by the American Red Cross of Greater Pennsylvania.

The name of the person who died in the blaze and its cause have yet to be released, as the state fire marshal continues to investigate.
